The duet of pianist Dulguun Chinchuluun, from Mongolia, and cellist Michael Heupel from Greece, is a strong example of the power music has to bring people together. Inspired by the piece “Fratres” by the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, whose title translates to “brothers”, the two acclaimed young musicians assembled a program with works from different parts of the world.

Songs about nature from Finland converse with songs by Manos Hadjidakis, while the passion of the “Grand Tango” by Piazzola stands opposite the solemn atmosphere of Pärt’s spiritual works and Fauré’s “Elegie”. Love, spirituality, hope, sorrow and joy, all the elements that unite people, regardless of their origin, manage to bring us all together in times where it’s needed the most.
